Hi, I’m Imam — a local surfer from South Lombok.
I started teaching surfing back in 2000 and have since guided hundreds of students from all over the world. Whether you’re taking your very first wave or looking to refine your technique, I’ll make sure you feel safe, confident, and stoked in the water.
At Imam Lombok Surf School, we welcome surfers of all levels. Every lesson starts with a short theory session on land, followed by personalized coaching in the water. We provide everything you need — boards, rash vests, sun protection, and even a boat to take you to the best surf spots in South Lombok.

A Fun & Safe Surfing Experience — Step by Step
Here’s how your typical surf session goes
1. Warm-Up & Beach Introduction
Light stretching and a quick overview of safety, ocean conditions, and surfboard basics.
2. On-Land Practice
Learn the correct paddling and pop-up techniques on the sand before hitting the water.
3. Time to Surf!
Get in the water with your coach guiding you every step of the way. Expect lots of laughs, splashes, and that first big wave feeling.
4. Post-Surf Feedback
After the session, we’ll review your progress, give tips, and celebrate your wins — no matter how small! All lessons are beginner-friendly, with a focus on safety, confidence, and real progress.
